Hi there my centre storage light stays on for a long time after opening it only when the car is switched off and the car cuts the power to save battery drain does the light go out, the little spring switch is still intact as is the peg to push the button has anyone any idea why it won't go out ?

What happens when you manually press the switch?
3.0l Silver SMG, whippy and ginge fringe/ Sound gen mod/ Media bridge fitted (bluetooth and audio streaming) / Clear third break light/ Hard Top/ Eibachs springs and DLV back box/ Roof motor in the boot/ plus lots more.

Thanks for the reply and nothing when I press it all the way in does it fade or switch off straight away ?

Sounds like your switch is knackered for some reason or other so the light is probably on the the time the car is unlocked.

Hopefully I can take it apart and try get it to work at the weekend as I can't find one to buy so will have to try fix it

Just to update everyone it was the switch I cut it off and resoldered a switch I had laying around and it works thanks for the replies.
