Interior dash renew/cleaner

Post by MrGit » Thu Mar 26, 2015 6:09 pm

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone knows the best stuff to rejuvenate the black interior dash ? got some spots that seem just a little lighter than the rest.

Thanks

i used silicone spray & worked it in with a washing up brush, came up a treat. Tried a cloth but it just gripped like a leach! :o

How do you work this stuff into the dash? It seems impossible to use a cloth.

CyberClean Automotive is amazing... I don't like putting products on the interior trim, so this stuff is great. It picks up the dirt and dust and leaves no residue at all! You can poke it into really small spaces too (for instance around the instrument dials, around the air vents etc). Highly recommended (and it's so cheap too!)

Use a sponge, just a small one like you'd use to clean dishes with. It doesn't get snagged

i just use the really cheap blue jay cloths from the super market because they don't come to bits or leave any fibres behind.

Get one soaked with the product rather than spraying the plastic directly (no water, must be dry to start), and rub it in the the plastic. then get a clean one, same type of cloth to buff off, they cost about 50p a packet. comes up great. put 2-3 layers on and the colour restores, the plastic looks new.

Be careful to just roll it around the dash - don't rub it, or it leaves bits behind. Use it more like a sticky thing to pick the muck up if that makes sense?

The simplest and most effective product I've found are Simoniz interior wipes, £3.99 for a pack of 20 from Halfords. Don't waste your time and money on anything else. Keep it simple!
2008 Z4 2.0i SE E85, Space Grey, 18" 241 staggered rims, 255/35/18, 225/40/18, 2 tone anthracite/silverstone leather Msport heated seats, M sport MFC Steering wheel, Bluetooth, Comfort pack, Tracker, Automatic climate control, Gaptech, Blah, blah.
