For the cost of sourcing all the parts this mod is no longer economical, and thats with out having someone to pay to install it :)

Pretty much what Jan said, unless you can find a loom, then it shouldn't be an issue.

I have a small (Business) Navigation in my Z4 as in the following picture:

Is it possible to upgrade to Professional navigation with just monitor and Professional radio unit? I presume the loom mentioned here is already in my car used for small navi or is it a different one?

Loom will be different as it connects the monitor to the computer. Also believe you computer is a mk3 where as the pro unit is a DVD based mk4.

Oh, that's bad news.. About the computer. It's MK4, cuz it says DVD on it and i have a new bmw high 2017 maps on a DVD disc inserted and it works.

Just the loom, screen and head unit then. Loom will be the issue unless you can find one at a scrap yard.

Yeah i was afraid of that. The loom is impossible to find, so I guess i'm stuck with business navigation.. :( Thank you srhutch for the right answers.

One more thing. I found an X3 E83 navigation loom. Here is the picture:

Is it the right one?

It is possible to use an X3 loom, but will require modification due to location of components.

Yes I read that. I just wanna know if the loom from the picture is really for X3's navigation. Does it look legit? Sometimes people sell something they don't know what it is.

Hard to say as there is probably more than one loom there. There is a connector for the head unit showing which isn't on the Nav loom.

You need to get the seller to separate the looms and send better pictures of connectors etc.
