ARGH - I want this part so much!

I'm trying not to spend money on things I don't need right now - when does WANT become so great as to become a NEED?

Will you be able to fit it yourself is one question, if not I wonder how much BMW or a bodyshop would charge?

Was out and about today. Took this with my mobile.

Probably cost a fortune and will also probably be put on out of square!!

This pic posted on another thread annoyed me because it was fitted out of centre! (if you can't see it then you shouldn't fit one yourself! :P ).

Breaker; does the car feel faster now, more planted perhaps? I'm interested in the real world perspective of this mod... Just kidding, looks great

Aftermarket versions are available for M's if anyone is interested.

I think it's given my Z4 about another half a second to 62mph so it takes it to about the same as the M! All without extra running costs! :P

Wondermike - The instructions specify 2 hours labour, so count on around £240 assuming no remidial paintwork and add that to the approx £300 for the diffuser and you're in the £550 region.

To me though as much of the satisfaction comes from doing the job myself and personalising the car. I'm sure Breaker feels the same.

Correct, looked at that pic many times and never noticed that before

Ouch, not something that I would pay that much for (if I had a Z4 that is!) and wouldn't feel too confident about fitting it myself.

I agree. It's also that adrenalin rush when you take that first cut to your pride and joy and the elation when it all goes right!! :P

Hope you're not referring to mine being off centre Breaker? I'm aware the front lip is temporarily tagged to the bottom of the rejigged battery box that's not true until the floor panel is welded in.

No, your's looks fine to me, it's the pic you posted of the grey Z4. I've included the pic in the post now.

Nice! I was afraid it was going to look a little odd with only the left side pipes, but it looks great. Definitely on my to-do list.
