Before I go on with my question, I know this topic exist on How-to already, but i can't get enough info on it....that's why I start this topic...Sorry....=X

Finally decided to vinyl my 07 Z4 Coupe's interior trim today...but for some reason, I can't take the Center Console piece out...

I was trying to take the Knee Pads out to get access to the screws, but it was like hot-glue tight....T~T

Was wondering if anyone can get me a walk-through with pictures or am I missing anything?

Can't let this thing undone...it looks really ugly right now with half wrapped...lol

By the way...anyone tried wrapping the middle piece of the aluminum on the Steptronic Shift Knob?? If so, is it possible to take it out or just take risk of damaging the leather? lol

Anybody would think those knee pads hold the car together. They are the hardest thing in the world to remove.

I used a screwdriver which I managed to get a long way behind them and lever them off. Don't just get the edge otherwise it will just bugger the pad.

Thanks for the info from powerontap, I have found the same thing as well, but a lot of pictures are unclear(to me anyway since I can't see at least half of them.)

As srhutch mentioned. Agree on not edging, but won't screwdriver damage the leather/ trim around it?
