Brembo Breaks any good?

Are brembo disks / pads any good?

Just ordered disks and pads for each wheel using: HOLIDAY50 at euro car parts for 50% off.

Spent £199 for the lot. Pretty decent deal.

I dont need super high performance breaks, just need to replace them after xmas and not going to ignore a 50% saving!!

Hopefully I made the right choice!

Yes, they are legendary. Second only to TarOx and a few others.

Can you post a link, I cannot find them on the site!

I typed in my registration at the top, then searched for break discs and pads separately.

My link would lead to the same spec as my 20i !

I have been waiting for these top drop in price for weeks now, cheapest up until this weekend was £270 including the sensors.
All disks pads and sensors for £229.
Ordered now and awaiting delivery.
Didnt know that if something isnt in stock you cant order for click and collect. Would have preferred this over delivery.

Depends which ones you bought. Brembo do a range of brakes for BMW's - everything from fast road to track - you can spend a huge amount of money if you want. Talking for a moment from E46 point of view, I have tried Brembo's but they were fast-road brakes - not drilled or grooved. I found them a waste of money. However on an earlier model I used Brembo's that were drilled and they were great. On my track 330 I use Tarox F2000 that work well and Ferodo Racing pads which work very well.

For road cars I don't think it makes a whole lot of difference basically - on the road I'd go EBC
BMW Z4M INTERLAGOS BLUE
Other tin:
Porsche 911 Turbo S / Boxster S
BMW E60 M5 / E38 740i / E46 320d / E36 316i / E46 330Ci (Time Attack car)
Mercedes SL500
Hyundai Accent Copa (Andalucia Cup) x3
Audi A6 Avant x2
Nissan Navara
Fiat Punto Sporting

Brembo Breaks any good?

Trick is to have the right brakes for the car. My old Fiat had Brembo brakes as OEM. To be honest they were not that good, for a car so fast as the Fiat Coupe was in it's day. They do have a great reputation though. :)

EBC all the way if you want good stoppers. Brembo on my Clio Rs was good don't be fooled by those cheaper Brembo setups their not that good at all though. Id go with meyle discs & Pagid brake pads at that price £200 all in front & rear

Brembo Breaks any good?

Thanks for the feedback.

I wont be changing until March next year, but i was quoted £750ish from BMW for all discs and pads replaced.
The parts would have been £400 without the promotion, so its probably about right.

I am not after high performance breaks etc, but literally know nothing about them, I have seen brembo on a few high end cars etc so recognised the brand.

I will take the feedback on board for next time however!
Thanks all!
