I'm looking for a E89 35i - is this worth buying?

Post by keving1 » Sat Feb 25, 2017 7:12 pm

I have been offered this on a second chance from ebay - what is the opinion on this Z4 35i for £11,200?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2013-BMW-Z4-S ... true&rt=nc

Should I buy it, if I do what are the possible problems that I could face and the cost? It has been BMW serviced at 25k, 37k, 51k, 78k and is now on 113k.

Thanks in advance for replies

Despite the high miles and obvious scuffs and stuff thats a really cheap car..

If your handy and willing to spend a few quid i think you wont do better than that for price.

The N54 can have many foibles,Turbo's,injectors and pumps being the more common ones..

Sorry, I'm hopeless and the last person you should take advice from. But... the 35i DCT is a fantastic car and great fun. Whether this one is a worthwhile proposition I'll leave to wiser men and women than me, but it's worth holding out for the 35i (or 35i S).

Bidding has ended.....reserve not met.
Although high mileage it is a 2013 plate, but certainly doesn't look like a cherished example.

It sounds too cheap to me for a 13 plate unless the seller is desperate for cash, but even then! It's got to be worth a look though as I can't see you finding a cheaper seat in a 35i and you never know

Very leggy fore a 2013 car but cheap as chips. If that's what your after then buy it and pass it on in the future. If your after a cherished keeper, then don't.

Hmmm, the twin turbo E89s are quite a complex car. - roof, turbos, adaptive suspension, dct box. Not a cheap buy for the faint hearted. Just my view, but they are cars that need a warranty. - but just my opinion.
Why is it that people who can't take advice always insist on giving it?

Comprehensive BMW warranty is only a little over £400. :)

Eta, unless the mileage affect s the price of warranty.

What would be the problem if I was looking to keep it for a long time?

With those miles it's more likely that things are going to need replacing and that's going to add up over time.
