Haha - too late - already bought the T2A on Amazon!
I agree with you though - they put their jam and cream on their scone the wrong way around up here. It's all very odd.

Thanks for posting!! Re: IFTTT.. I assume you have an Android phone? I would love iOS to open the Music app when my phone connects to my car via BT but I don't think this is possible.willgill wrote:its awesome, simple and cheap (in my opinion), I use IFTTT ( If This Then That) to automatically launch spotify as soon as my phone connects to my cars/t2a bluetooth, from there it launches which ever playlist I chose or audible or whatever length journey im on. No idrive integration but covers off all the functionality I need and steering wheel integration for me is essential, still find it odd a car that cost so much new had such dire spec stereo/infotainment

Yeah android I'm afraid, IFTTT wasn't actually the software i'm currently use, that's what i used to use, now I'm using 'Bluetooth connect and play'Wrs wrote:Thanks for posting!! Re: IFTTT.. You can use a program called Activator to do something similar with iPhone. Does require a Jailbreak though!Wrs wrote:Thanks for posting!! Re: IFTTT.. I assume you have an Android phone? I haven't used IOS since version 7 so I don't know how easy a Jailbreak is these days. Probably simpler to just come to the dark side and buy an Android

Just thought I'd check in to complete the thread and thank willgill again for his help. Tune2Air purchased from Amazon and installed. Took literally a few seconds to install and all works perfectly! I'm a happy chappy now I can play Spotify and control from my steering wheel!

Hi bought and fitted one of these Tune2Air bluetooth adaptors and is great, easy to set up and can use steering wheel buttons to control my music. The only thing is when I play an album off my phone and skip a song it scrolls down to the next song on my I drive screen but plays a complete different song on the same album. I have done it on a couple of different albums and it does the same thing. Is this normal or is mine faulty?danregs wrote:Just thought I'd check in to complete the thread and thank willgill again for his help. Tune2Air purchased from Amazon and installed. I just go in to the external devices on my I drive menu then select I phone and it just comes up on the screen.

Ive got a similar bluetooth device , no combox or I drive and I cannot change tracks from the steering wheel
I have to press the external wheel to skip tracks , but its better than nothing
