JB4 is for turbo cars - your 2.5 is a different kind of Modifications:

I be up for that - but not in hot weather - as I suffer from heat soak.

As I think I could reach over 315 Bhp

i bet its nice in this cool air we got now best time for performance but limtied traction. Over 300bhp is good to achieve you should be happy. I know it is a quick car and beats a lot about on the scene. I will get E89 probably next year i know a lot bang on about Z4 coupes but i just prefer the roadsters.

I always remap my petrol bmw's. A lot of will see its not worth it (mainly the ones who never done a remap) but ive always had good results. Even if you add 10 bhp to your 2.5 it will be beter than it was before. If its manual too the rev limit is raised and the car is just much more lively to drive giving more torque at your lower point of rpm range. Its the torque that really is noticable and best thing really. I can recommend tuner in midlands for remap if your local

Oh right, so not plug and play then? I'd prefer something that doesn't require any alterations so maybe the racechips option is better?

you could have the ECU remaped, probably try bigger air intake and better free flowing exhaust/maifold from 3.0i. I had a 2.2i that had the 1st set of cats removed and i swear it was fast just as good as my 3.0 and 2.5i. I had plenty of battles in it that it shocked me so i can only think the more free flowing exhaust helped. Remap is always good though as its like a mini brain checkup and will leave you with a better power/torque curve.
