A 2.0 Scirocco R in standard guise does that figure on FWD with less BHP
There's your next duel then twinturbo . . . .
Now Porsche flat 6 experience, 986S & 981S.

Possibly true - however only did three runs and on the day this 2 ltr was quicker than quite a few 335i running stage 2.

Not seen an QTR mile recorded from an E85/E86 or an E89 35i been any quicker? From a none pro driver

This is the in car video from an 335D 350 BHP

Wasn't knocking you mate , in fact my general dislike of smaller 4pot turbos was changed after my recent 1400mile euro drive in my son's Rocco R
it really opened my mind to how great a 2.0T can perform both in terms of outright speed from the off , torque in any gear & if going easy they see mid to high 30s MPG  pretty formidable performers if set up right

I'm not a fan of standing starts, too many variables with the track and tyres. Too much pressure on the drive chain etc. Would only entertain rolling starts. The Z needs a decent LSD in any event - the 35iS I saw online with an LSD was hitting 4 seconds 0-60 as the rear brakes weren't trying to bring it to a stop

I understand what you saying - and hence the technique I use is not the best approach for an quick launch but its probably safer than launching from 2000 rpm and dumping the clutch.

The technique I use is fairly basic - but seems to be effective - as I find these drag stips have poor grip.

Sport mode+ (I don't disengage DSC)
Clutch in, select 1st gear
On lights changing - release clutch and press on accelerator simultaneously
