The Smarttop is being removed ready for transfer - are there any tricks to the removal process?
I assume its just a case of stopping the boot lid when its open by a press of the opposing button and taking the module out?
Taking care to put the Fob in a safe place tho!

I remember Maniac being grabbed by the closing lid.

So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.

Ive just updated my post with that event!
The instructions show the install procedure but not removal - I suppose they don't expect it to be removed because its so effective.

I pulled the ignition with the roof halfway open when I fitted mine Ronk, safest way I think.

:( Oh...boo..

Sytners have a black 35is with black interior almost new at 37k if that's any use if it falls through, I saw it today. Having said that it's no better than mine for 28.5k, it's a no brainer really.

Removal is exactly the reverse of installation as you'd expect, boot at half opening phase, trim removal, disconnection of unit and reconnection of original harness, trim back on.

My top tip... put your keys out of the way so you don't activate it while you're half in the car!!

I had considered disabling the module using the laptop - then opening the boot and removing the module as it was installed ?
