well Im looking to get a more fruity exhaust - been looking at fitting tips and having the back box deleted - has anyone done this on the E89 23sdrive and what was the difference - was it worth doing ?

Deleting the back box would make it loud and it would drone I imagine. Might be better getting a straight through box fitted.

I love the sound of the standard exhaust.
Nice and deep, quality, not chavy.
I think the new Jag F type sounds awful.
Boxsters sound like a load of nails in the exhaust.
Just listen to even a 23i accelerate away, nice.
Stick some high octane fuel in.
Get the hood down and drive 1st to 10mph, 20 in second and so forth and listen to it pop.
If it doesn't, then something is wrong.
The danger of changing the exhaust is like when I disconnected the bypass valve on the MGTF.
Great at start up but the drone and resonance at motorway speed quickly had me reconnecting it.
