I hope I can still get a 35is to replace my 3.0 but I think time is against me now!
You don't stop playing when you get old - You get old when you stop playing!
So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.

Never had the slightest interest in a BMW until I saw the Zed on a local car park, so much so, the only car I went into debt to buy.
The folding hard top and shape sold it to me, although at the time I bought my 23i I was a bit ignorant as to the range.
I went for the launch colour Orion silver and only ever seen one other on the roads..
And I will keep until the axles drop off!

Good it's coming to an end, will help keep it a bit more exclusive.

Im very tempted !
The current 3.0 E89 only has 19k and 5.5 years old and as Mrs K got her 335xd last year and it has only done 3k - a new car might be too difficult to justify to "her"

But never say never!

Now or never, broadspeed is showing 36k for the 35is. Not sure how long you will have the chance to spec what you want before you can only chose from run-out pre-specced models.

The E89 is what it is & as many have pointed out for me its a great looking coupe or fantastic looking roadster .
Approaching it parked up it looks so much more than E85 or E86 , get inside , don't even drive it & it feels so much more than the E85 or E86 , then drive it :driving: mines the 23i 7 ive been pushing it lately over the same roads I now so well from the 3.0Si's , ///M & 2.5Se
At first it feels numb by comparison & indeed from the M car it most certainly is when you rattle in & out of the bends but really get to know it & they can be pushed without really worrying it
I kicked off with 200bhp but no doubt I will take a step up at some point when the time & prices are both right
All I say to those who are tempted to stray then I doubt you would be disappointed , they look , feel & drive like you should be paying twice as much for them
3 ZMRs
3 E89s
5 Si coupes
5 Si roadsters
997 C4
TTRS
F82 M4
MK7 Golf Gti
current Bmw 6 Gran Turismo

I was bounced into the 3.0 when I got mine - I didn't have the time as a pal wanted my 3.0 E85 and my holiday in Germany was in four weeks time .
The 3.0 isn't bad and I am quite happy with it but I like the idea of another few bhp and a lot more torque !
The 3.0 feels a wee bit limp compared with Mrs K's 335 :(

What a dilemma !

From memory, you had some blackmail data available from a Mrs K event in the past :D

I've already had a conversation with a dealership re ditching in my car and my now ageing Disco 3 - I might have to ramp up the negotiations !

I have to have a car as nippy as hers have i not?
This is the same time of year I bought my 3.0 Ie just prior to the Germany trip - I don't want to be rushed again.

man maths 101
It's just about to go out of production so a well kept late example of the range-toping 35iS will have great residuals!... it's an investment

I'd traditionally go for 'what happens if I need to follow you somewhere? I need to be able to keep up.' :D
