Tried the MHD this evening. Battery charger (it's quite a small one, but is charging...), setup the MHD, etc etc. Backed up the ECU, all fine.
Went to flash stage 1 98ron and it just says "failed to write ECU". The charger says "charging", the doors were shut (windows down), ignition was on, everything seemed fine. The only thing I noticed was that it says Voltage 0 V on the MHD app, not sure why that is?
After it failed, I tried to start the car, all fine, nothing odd.
Any ideas? I've left the charger running, so I'll try again tomorrow morning ... it doesn't say "full" yet.

Help with MHD please ...
The ECU probably powered down.
The car will go into low power mode and hibernate all the non essential modules even when the ignition is on if you operate the drivers door after pressing the start button.
My procedure is like this;
Get in car
plug cable into OBD port
Plug cable into phone
Insert key
Lower drivers window
Turn off headlights, vent fans and DRLs
Get out of car, close door and lean in and press the ignition button
start the flash
