It looks like it's been sat in the sun too long and all the plastic at the front has melted and pooled around the bottom...

No they are quite different. A converision is when you slow the car down by bolting on a ton of body panels, leaving the mechanics as they were. A conversion is doing a proper job.

Truly hideous, and thankfully, most seem to agree. It shows that E89 owners get it. At least the ones on this forum.
