Thanks DLH, just the answer I was looking for. Easy to fit the Power Magic Pro I presume?
It took a total of 2 hours to fit the DR650GW + Power Magic Pro + hardwiring an Aguri Skyway unit fitted on the dash. The Auto-Electrical shop that did it seemed to think that it was straightforward enough.
Looks great - how much did the unit and the fitting ser you back if you don't mind me asking?
Unit costs £199 inc VAT. They've just updated it to the DR650S. I haven't hard wired yet but will do in the near future. It took about 30 mins to fit hiding all the wires away neatly.

The 12v socket under the glove compartment wouldn't take the adapter for some reason, possibly due to its angle so I took it to the 12v socket in the arm rest. Can't see any wires anywhere and very happy with the result.

Great thanks for that - so just to confirm it's not hard wired into the battery yet but it is wired into the A pillar?

The Power Magic Pro is the hardwire kit, so yes it is hard wired into the car.

If I do this it will be a big how-to project as it's a very involved project. I very quickly put a bare mobius camera in the trim and I was getting a lot of purple flickering. So that means I need to shield the camera. There's also the problem of keeping the camera cool & access to the SD cards.

Sorry for bumping this up, but may be of use to someone looking for a dash cam.

Currys have reduced the Nextbase 302G down to £31.97. Stock is limited, but Halfords will price match if they have any in stock so worth checking both local stores. Just need to show Halfords the link which is http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/cameras-an ... awid=47868

Seems to be a nice bit of kit for very little money.

Just bought the Thinkware F770. It's on special at the RAC shop and cheaper than Amazon!

OK, so with all our zeds seemingly being hit these days (including mine a year ago now) I've decided to buy a dash cam. I want one that when hardwired it will also have parking protection. G force sensor and all that jazz. I will need to be able to turn this feature off as well though as when parked at home for long periods I don't want to drain the battery. Picture quality is also a must as otherwise there's no point in having one of you can't read a number plate. So any suggestions?? Budget around £100.
