I like those! Why wasn't the purchase successful? I'll certainly consider buying.
Why is it that people who can't take advice always insist on giving it?

This. The LED section is easily removed to allow prep and paint of main body.

Absolutely. I can prep and paint them. How do they come off? They just look so 'snappety snapable' though

There is a post somewhere with a pic of how to get the original ones off.
Pop the bonnet and look in the gap behind where the indicator sits.
There are 2 plastic tangs that hold the indicator to the wing.
If you press the one closest to you the indicator will pop free.
The new style has double sided tape holding the long part of the indicator so I would imagine you must have to cut through this first and replace the tape when reinstalling.

They also have a tab further along too about 3 or 4 inches along as well as the tape. So ideally they'll need to be heated to try and remove the sticky tape as wall as unclipping the three tabs. It's also a bit of a ballache to get your hand to the third clip due to the space. Probably better possibly removing the wheel arch liner and going in that way.

Oh and new indicators to then paint can be had for around £90ish. Harry Fairbairns in Kirkaldy on BMWforms.info usually do a 15% discount and free delivery.

You could just wrap them - I did and they have lasted two years - cost about £30 or £10 if you do it yourself
