Z4 Radio replacement
My radio has died and I need to replace it (so the garage suggests)
I've been giving the part number 651293550500 but really cant find this online anywhere. Does it really need to be this exact part number?
The radio from dealers is very pricey @£455+vat!

Sorry I forgot to mentions my Z4 is an E89 2009 (59) version
Had a look on ebay and did find one but garage was adamant that the part number had to be what they stipulated.
They have been kind enough to let me look round for the alternative to new part from BMW just so I can save a bit of money

How about going for an aftermarket one, if you spend around £100 you should easily find something that sounds better than the standard one, and if you go for this kit http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-Z4-E89-20 ... SwsFpWRQiU you can keep your steering wheel controlls

I'm pretty sure mine is an amplified system therefore this would not work but good shout!85genius wrote:How about going for an aftermarket one, if you spend around £100 you should easily find something that sounds better than the standard one, and if you go for this kit http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-Z4-E89-20 ... Found it right here: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/part?id ... 5129350500
Little bit confusing to as what it means? Does it suggest that I can use an alternative?

basically you can spend £450+ fitting and get the same sound or £550+ fitting and get a much better sound.
I'm currently upgrading my DSP carver system, in fact its booked in tomorrow for the full job to be done.
