Hairdressers...

Post by NigelM » Mon Sep 28, 2015 9:03 pm

I had to laugh this morning when the nice people at Accident Exchange arrived with my hire car and took my Zed off to the even nicer people at BMW bodyshop for my rear bumper repair.

What would you say was an appropriate category of vehicle as an alternative for my Zed whilst its having its bruises cleaned up?

Well, I wasnt sure but I'm afraid to say that I'm driving around in a 430d M convertable, complete with Liberace chandelier and what should be pink dice over the dashboard.

Im only driving it in the dark and the big girly roof is definately staying in the closed position. The drive is buttery smooth and feels like your sliding in slippers over a shag pile carpet. Good God, who creates these monstrosities!..

Roll on Friday when my Zed is due home.

I dunno, I'd take a 430d m sport over any z4 tbh.

Make sure you get a topless photo with three of your well-oiled chums.

Actually, I'm with Jamie - think I'd take one too and just wear a bag on my head.

4 Series is a great looking car as a coupé but I agree the convertible looks wrong.

The 430d coupé is on my list of possibilities for the next car. Either that or a single turbo 335i. Choice between 290hp and low fuel costs and 700hp and going broke at my local shell.

Hasn't Sars ordered an xdrive version. I don't get the jibes to be honest and wouldn't be disappointed as a loaner. A Focus diesel maybe but don't get the OPs comments.

Not sure about anyone claiming a 430d convertible is "Hairdresser" whey they drive what many consider to be the "Hairdresserest" bmw out there

Agree the vert's lines aren't as good as the coupe - but there's not much in it
