Hi yes ... that is ours I had the car up for sale and had no response so I accepted that fact that it probably would not sell .. plus my wife after some enthusiasm with the car went back to her normal car for every day driving, so again it just sat in the garage. So over the weekend I started to some minor detailing .. then out of the blue a buyer phoned, so all going well should go this week. It was just the monthly payments and not using the car and the fact it was deprecating heavily I was struggling with ... plus I needed money for the amplifier business for Ce certification and stuff like that .. so up to that point I was keeping it, and as soon as I thought that was it (as it only had a few days to run on piston heads) the phone call ... also over the weekend (yesterday actually) all going well I will be buying a old friend back that to be honest I should have not sold in the 1st place

I just wanted a hobby car to tinker with .. and to have a brand new car just sat in the garage like ours was silly really, but then I purchased it on abit of a whim to be honest .. silly I know, but hopefully all going well I will get my Z4 back .. which strangely I am really looking forward to !

Im really suprised that you are selling the car for the reason given so quickly.......Surely you weighed up depreciation and payments before purchase ?.... That said,if your not happy its best to get rid and get happy with your next purchase...


Whats the amplifiier business ?

I used to be into high end audio in a big way some years ago... My friend still has an audio business that sells Amplifiers and speakers....

I used to be into high end audio in a big way some years ago... My friend still has an audio business that sells Amplifiers and speakers....

Sounds like a new biz opportunity came up and he is moving his assets around rather than having an ongoing outlay each month - good idea! If the investment pays off you'll buy another one in due course. Good luck !

for me it frees up over £30k .. which is a lot of cash when not using the car and then we where heading towards winter which again I would be paying the monthly payments and not using it
would be cheaper to hire a car for the day when I wanted one ... but I do really have a soft spot for my old E85 3.0i which for me frees up some cash and still have the hobby car in the garage, I know I will miss the power and torque though that's for sure .. and to be honest was not a easy decision to make. some forum members will think I am crazy for sure no doubt

its a compromise for me ... just frees up some cash for other things .. will keep you updated

Hi DPG ... that's what I thought , and I am sure I will be more then happy with my E85 3.0i, as I regretted selling her in the first place and to my eyes really like the shape of the pre face lift ... also for long term ownership a little less complicated car to own.

But its only Monday .... and hopefully the dealer and owner of the E85 don't change their minds. And to keep a car in the garage just as a tinkering sunny use only makes sense for the older model .. some I am sure will disagree

at the time I honestly thought it would not sell as explained earlier as I had no phone calls or interest at all .. and was looking at loans to cover the business start up, so would have struggled a bit with the payments but as I thought it would not sell, sort of made my mind up .. hence the cleaning, then a phone call out of the blue asking me was it still for sale .. and the fact it was a dealer they settle the finance for me, so a little easier then a private sale
