Routing cable from through bulkhead
Hi,
I want to route an cable into the engine bay, but unable to find an route - anyone done this?
Taken cover below glove box when replacing an blown fuse, but unable to find an route into the engine bay.
What I am trying ot achieve is to get power via USB or Cig lighter to my JB4 Connect Kit.
So I have two options:
1) Power the JB4Connect Kit via an internal source, so route an USB cable from the cabin into the engine bay
2) Power the JB4Connect Kit via an source from the engine bay (USB or CIG)

Help very much appreciated, as routing the cable via the door - is causing an puddle every time it rains!

The grommet behind the globe box is also visible from the engine bay. Feed a wire from there?

Many thanks for the responce, but from nearly getting my head stuck I been unable to find an gromit?DMike wrote:The grommet behind the globe box is also visible from the engine bay. Feed a wire from there?
However all I did was remove the tray below glove box "to access the fuse box"
Do I need to remove the glove box as well?

Re: Routing cable from through bulkhead
for the secondary power it needs to be installed in the correct orientation , I think its with the cable down, but I can check if you need the info, an then pick either ignition hot or always hot in glove box fuse box, I used this thread as a guide

apologies if preaching to the choir , makes a change if I can help someone on here

Many thanks for the contribution!!
My thoughts are to use both links you provided.
As the E89 fuse box is in the correct vinacity, and easier than using the possible power source near the gear leaver.
