MOT failure- tyres. Switching to non-rft

Post by jmb » Tue May 26, 2015 10:21 am

Car in for its MOT today and apparently the fronts are worn (I should have looked properly rather than a cursory glance at the outside!)

Anyway, given that the rears will need doing in a couple of months anyway I've decided to try losing the runflats to help a little with comfort/noise and reduce the risk of cracking the 19's

Anyone recommend a gunge-pump to carry around? Are the little cans ok or is there a reasonably cost-effective proper pump jobby? What does everyone else use?

Tyre-weld in the boot for me as a limp home option. Anything more than that I'd be calling recovery out anyway.

I have one of these in the boot :) Never needed to use it but it seems to get good reviews and the compressior is handy too

Continental Mobility Kit - There are usually kits going for small money on ebay.

Also I have a F20 spare wheel + jack kit - http://www.alloywheelsdirect.net/option ... wheel_kits
