Carbon wrapped window pillars

Post by walkie » Wed Apr 22, 2015 7:06 am

Hey everyone,

Not a tremendously intersting post but for under £7 on eBay I figured it would be a hoot to wrap my window pillars in carbon. No risk mod if it looks crap - it be peeled!

Must admit I was surprised at how good it looked, so thought i'd share - enjoy

You'll need to do those wing mirror brackets now  Looks good though. Have you done your roll bars too?

Is that real carbon in a clear laminate or a carbon effect wrap?

the weave does look like it's in the same direction, ie bottom right to top left? Or do you mean it should be mirrored?

Not a fan of carbon wrap personally because I perfer the real stuff but I do think it looks good against the white paint

Real carbon can't be 90 degrees out as the weave direction is dependent on viewing angle. Hence my question ;)

I thought I'd done it right, but evidently not. Never mind I don't tend to dwell tremendously on such details.

With regards to difficultly it was 3rd time lucky I am afraid, it is pretty easy just a few school boy errors. Youtube is your friend!

Can't make up my mind if I like it or not! Have you got a pic of the entire front (i.e. seeing car with both pillars wrapped in one pic)
