I am on the hunt for a used 35is and just wondering what deals any other recent buyers managed to negotiate....if you don't mind sharing that information of course.
Its hard to get feel for what the correct pricing levels are as there are so few on the market.
I have established that you can buy a new one before options for £32k from Broadspeed, so stick on Nav, decent wheels and a few desirable options and you're probably at £37k. However lead in times are six months I believe. I cannot wait that long as I only have my battered old 156 V6 to drive in the meantime, as I have sold my Z4 Coupe. I run a wealth management business so cannot really be turning up to see HNW clients in that old banger!
However, as a benchmark, the Broadspeed deal makes the nearly new 35iss that are up for sale with dealers look like poor value.
Ideally I was hoping to go for an earlier car with 20k to 30k on the clock for which £25k seems to be the rough price point. There was a very nice grey one on with red leather, 12 plate with 30k on the clock that I was going to offer on (its still on Auto Trader). However, I thought he was a little expensive at £26,500 so was prepared to ask for some discount. However, the car was snapped up before I even had the chance, so perhaps wasn't that dear after all.
It would help me understand the market a bit more if any members would be willing to share what deals they got on their cars. I want to buy ASAP but am cautious of overpaying simply due to the rarity of these cars.
