Hi all,
How can I tell if I need to replace the transmission/gearbox oil on the E89? After the revision at the dealer, they said that there is some type of very small leakage of oil and that it's nothing serious at the moment, but it may become later on. So I'm asking: is there any way to tell if I need to replace this oil at all? Or should I just pre-emptively top-up the oil anyway?
From what I noticed, the manual gearbox is responsive so far. When engine is warm, shifts well, rarely do I sense any "intermediary" bottlenecks, but with engine cold, it has like these small "intermediary" bumps when changing into gear. Not sure how to describe them or if they're normal at all, so maybe someone can help me out. Thank you!
