car in uk

Post by john-e89 » Mon Mar 16, 2015 4:42 pm

Just had an e-mail to say my e89 has arrived in the uk and will be approx. 10 days getting to the dealers. That's a lot sooner than I was told which was approx. 3 months, the order went in 11th Feb.

Sorry I know it's a 'who gives a ****' post but had to tell someone, bit excited now... :D

Great news  My guess is that it will be with the dealer in <10 days. Mine went from "built" to "arrived" in about 15 days so suspect it will be with the garage before next weekend.

Good news John

BMW are always conservative on build times.

My 5 series was put in production on 1 Sept and was at the dealer on 27 Sept.

Not long to wait - be patient

AND bring it round for me to see :D

My spec is as follows:

- 20i M sport
- Alpine White
- Black Kansas leather
- comfort package
- media package - BMW professional
- 19" 326 M alloys
- Sport auto transmission
- Windscreen with grey shade band
- Seat heating
- Loudspeaker system BMW professional.

I just wish mine would turn up, I've had a whole month off of work (annual leave) and it would have been the perfect time to get the car and detail it etc.. but nope, still waiting :(

Mine is:

28i auto
Mineral white
Black interior (my missus forced this overt red. Regretting already)
Comfort pack
Nav pack
Professional loud speaker
Adoptive suspension
Seat heading
18" standard alloys
windscreen grey banding

And a detailer booked but cancelled due to delay in car delivery. Thankfully detailer happy to accommodate the changes.

They do look very very nice in white, a chap regularly parks one down the road when going walking. Don't sweat about the interior, black looks classy against the white, I nearly went black inside but having black paint thought it needed lifting a bit. Hope you get some news soon chaps.
