Professional HiFi with DSP sound settings

Post by brawnyblue » Mon Feb 02, 2015 4:52 pm

I thought it be worth sharing and discussing the optimal sound settings for the Professional HiFi with DSP (i.e. 14 speaker professional speaker package).

My current settings are as follows but they still feel far from optimal. I adjusted as I felt the sound was very unbalanced and lacking bass and mids.

Looking to hear others opinions!

Fader: 0
Treble: 0
Bass: +2
Dolby surround: On
100Hz: +4
200Hz: +5
500Hz: +5
1KHz: +4
2KHz: +2
5KHz: 0
10KHz: 0

Note: this is for an E89 with option 677A (professional speaker package).

Someone ran a similar experiment on the E85 (http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=17407) and I am hoping to get the same going here for the E89!

I have the same set-up and these are my settings:
Balance -1 (over to passenger side)
Fader: -2 (or -3 dependant on the album)
Treble: +2
Bass: +1
Dolby surround: On
80Hz: +1
200Hz: -5
500Hz: -1
1KHz: 0
2KHz: +2
5KHz: 0
10KHz: +2

I think the sound is better utilising the rear speakers and subs more than the fronts as they seem to cope better with the volume. Might try your settings and see what it sounds like.
