Re: E89 drivers....shameful.!!!
Once saw a lady push a shopping trolley between parked cars whilst it banged off from on car to the other. Couldn't give a damn and proceeded to act as if nothing had happened! Since then I've always parked my cars well away from anyone else's regardless of the length of walk that follows. Curiously even in a completely empty car park there will be some tosser who insists on parking next to me!
As for "L40", good on you mate.
BTW SamUK I think you must have a death by post wish

Re: E89 drivers....shameful.!!!
I do care about my car and so don't tend to park next to anyone who looks like they couldn't care less about their own car.
That said, I think most of these numpties were going to bash your car whether you parked a Focus, a Zed or a Ferrari next to them.
The only car I ever had damaged in a car park was my 645 - it happened twice, I gather because that car took up every bit of the space it was in.
Also the second day I had my Z4, a woman in sainsbury's used my wing mirror to "rest" her car door, as her boot had stopped working. This, while I was putting the shopping in my car. I would have been a bit more irate had I not been speechless at her nonchalance, and the fact no actual damage was done.

Re: E89 drivers....shameful.!!!
You can't even park next to a posh car. Did that in an old Peugeot 106. Parked next to top of the range Merc. on pub car park. Came out 45 minutes later to find the drivers door dented in and Merc. had gone.
Same with TR7 I had. Parked at work, to later find door dented in.
I either avoid car parks, or wait for the quiet time of day.
Good example above I took on mobile to show a friend.
I arrived on this hospital car park for a quick appointment.
I parked as far as I could from the entrance. All the spaces free.
When I returned this is what I saw. Still dozens of free spaces.
When I entered my car, white van man raced up behind me about to squeeze into the gap, but I quickly put the car into reverse and pulled out into his path, the plank. He just couldn't get in quick enough.
