One of my parking sensors has developed a penchant for doing this:
Sometimes it is continuous, other times flicks on and off and occasionally it is fine.
Is the sensor knackered? Anyone know a likely fix cost? I have extended warranty but with £100xs.

Re: Is my parking sensor borked?
Try giving it a good clean - anything on the sensor can cause this.
If no good after cleaning, time to speak to the dealer I'm afraid & get it checked.
It's either (I) dogy connection to sensor (cheap) or (II) new sensor needed.
They usually charge 30mins to 'ahem' diagnose the fault on top.
Will definitely eat your £100 excess if you need any dealer action.

Beware of the ebay equivalents, they look the same but have the same effect yours, and there doesn't seem to be a way to calibrate them.
Not too difficult to change though, just a case of partially removing the bumper.

Faulty sensor impacting electromagnetic field or bad earth or something metallic near it. Possible to re-configure, disconnect battery. Blood for reset procedure.
