Dear all
Looking at one of these tomorrow. It's a 2009. Anything specific to look out for?
It has a fully stamped s/h. Has all the usual spec like electric, heated seats, sat nav, etc etc.
I'm coming from an E46 M3 so keen to hear if there are any weak points of the E89.
Cheers
Bill

Water ingress and cracks on rear lights. Cracked/buckled rims, particularly on 19's (On Inner edge) are the two obvious ones. Both quite expensive to resolve. Wear on seat bolsters and where seatbelt rubs. Plenty of rattles and squeaks is normal.

If its any comfort, I have a 2010 3.0i sDrive. - it's done 112,000 miles without any issue.londonbmwguy wrote:Dear all

(plus, no water issue with rear lights, and no seat wear issues! )
Why is it that people who can't take advice always insist on giving it?

Expect it to feel slower - and considerably less focused - than the M3

The car will get more attention !
You don't stop playing when you get old - You get old when you stop playing!
So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.
