When does the 35iS engine loosen up ?

My 35iS is definitely 'zippy' at 2800 miles but I would say feels, by way of an example, a good second off the 0-60 time of my 28,000 miles one !

The new one is smoother but not as urgent. I look forward to it with more miles under its belt

Having had my new 35is delivered yesterday, and as I only do 2/3 thousand miles a year its going to take a long time to loosen up at that rate, and at 64 yrs of age I don't know if I've got that long but it should seem plenty fast enough after the 23i.
What about exhaust sound on the 35is does that get better with mileage, I know the 23i did but not by much.

The exhaust sound on my 2800 mile car is ok but again, like the performance, very polite compared to my 28,000 mile car. It seems more boomy than the higher mileage car and very few pops or rumbling on over run ... I guess that alters with miles too. Still sounds ok now though
