iPod question

Post by NZZ4 » Fri Oct 31, 2014 1:14 am

Hi guys,
Still haven't got my car yet, only another 2 weeks to go... :x
However, quick question, can I plug my iPod nano straight into the factory stereo, (2009 HL)
and the data from my Vin # says, it is "S640A Preparation for universal telephone installation" but it doesn't have the little phone emblem on the head unit.
So I am assuming it isn't Bluetooth enabled..........an I right?
Cheers

To fully control the ipod you need a Ycable from bmw (other brands are available ) and plug it into the socket and usb in the arm rest, this was a option item in the uk
Regarding the bluetooth I think all uk cars had bluetooth as standard :)

Why bother?
Stick all your music onto a stubby usb and leave it in the armrest usb socket.
It's cheaper than a y cable.
You don't stop playing when you get old - You get old when you stop playing!
So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.
