BMW Winter Wheels from E92 330d LCI
I have a set of these - I am assuming that the wheels would fit (being BMW 17" ones designed for the bigger brakes on a 330d - though unsure if the 35iS brakes are even bigger!) the offset is likely to be wrong ?
I am not going to put spacers in so will sell the wheels - unless someone can tell me that the offset is the same for an E92 330d as it is for an E89 35iS ??

They are style 284 therefore `Real OEM' puts them as ET34 offset.
The 326's on my car are shown as offset ET29 and ET40 so I guess as the numbers are different they have to go.

If the fronts are ET34 I think that means the wheels will sit a further 5mm inboard so you could use a spacer to bring the wheels out. 5mm doesn't sound alot but could fowl the suspension on full lock. The rears will come out by 6mm so will probably be ok straight on, just check by measuring 6mm out from the existing wheel to see how far out the replacement will come out by.SO8 wrote:They are style 284 therefore `Real OEM' puts them as ET34 offset.

Only thing I would say with spacers on the front is my Z3 didn't like them or by pushing the front wheels out which seem to exacerbate tramlining, spacers on the rear seem fine. For the cost of spacers I would give it a go and see how the car feels on the road.

Re: BMW Winter Wheels from E92 330d LCI
Sadly I am in between 35iS's as the dealer has yet to pay me for my returned black one meaning the new white one just sits waiting for me to get the money ! So I can't try the wheels ... and have a buyer for the 330d ones coming on Tuesday.
I have just read somewhere that the 35iS needs 18" winters anyway .... Hmmm

Its been discussed quite a bit on here & on other forum,s but most 3.5's even the much heavier 535 diesel's can run 17inch winter wheelsSO8 wrote:Sadly I am in between 35iS's as the dealer has yet to pay me for my returned black one meaning the new white one just sits waiting for me to get the money ! I doubt you will need 18's as a minimum

BMWs winter wheel config recommends 17s for the 35is same for all E89s.

Re: BMW Winter Wheels from E92 330d LCI
Hi,
I have an similar situation
Since the winter is coming, and I believe my alloys of my E92 are out at the front - but i am no expert.
Z4 Orginal
Front alloy wheels: 18x8" ET29
Rear alloy wheels: 18x8.5" ET40
E92 Winter Alloys
18 x 8.0" ET34
I understand that:
Front: Compared to your existing wheel, this new wheel will have an inner rim which is 5mm closer to the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out 5mm less than before. So I need an 5MM spacer?
Rear: Compared to your existing wheel, this new wheel will have an inner rim which is 12.4mm further away from the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out 0.3mm less than before. no issues?
