God loves a trier,
You don't stop playing when you get old - You get old when you stop playing!
So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.

Re: Wheels upgrades
Did those wheels with those offsets just go straight on? Standard suspension? No spacers, mods, no rubbing etc?Ozie wrote:Just bought the car few days ago and changed the tyres from my old E85 Z4.A1GSS wrote:Now that I like very much. Don't suppose you're selling the wheels... ???
Wheels are
8,5x19 ET34 with 235/35R19
9,5x19 ET34 with 265/30R19
I think you can get them somewhere closer then from Finland
I'm still trying to plug my way through what will and what won't fit - and come to some understanding regarding what degree of offset I can safely play with. Nice looking car by the way.......

Re: Wheels upgrades
I've only had my Z4 for 3 weeks now but I have just replaced the Bridgestone RFT's on my 2009 E89 with Goodyear F1 Directional 5's and WOW, what a difference. Never had tyres make such a huge difference to noise/handling and comfort. I was going to go the 18" route as well but couldn't justify the NZ$3000 it was going to cost here in NZ for the rims I wanted, so stuck to the factory 17's. Local tyre shop was running a buy 3 get 1 tyre free. Cost me just 442 UK pounds with wheel alignment. I'm wrapped!

Re: Wheels upgrades
Yeah..wheels were taken from my old E85 Z4. Standard sdrive35is with M-Sport suspension, no spacers, no mods and no rubbing what so ever. Thinking about lowering it 20mm next summer.bob4333 wrote:Did those wheels with those offsets just go straight on? Standard suspension? Wheels upgrades
I'd go for these or preferably by a better model in the first place to achieve better value for money.
Non run flats are recommended but stay with a good tyre brand

Thanks, that's very helpful. Were there any issues with Tyre Pressure Monitoring that you had to overcome to get it to work as fitted?

Re: Wheels upgrades
We have the 19" 326 wheels I think they look superb ,I would stick with the run flats,as BMW must know what they are doing , also I like the idea my wife won't be stuck on some roadside in the rain phoning me up to sort the problem out ,one problem though with v low profile tyres are the rims are v prone to scuffing , I will be sending ours to the man in Lichfield to get them refurbished ,
2013 E89 Z4 2.0L M Spec titanium silver,black leather,comfort pack, 19" 326 alloys ,I love this car.
