Roadster bags

Post by Baronbb » Tue Sep 02, 2014 8:59 pm

Hi all, just thought id share some experience of these with peeps.
Bought these after being frustrated trying to jam some bags in and not being able to get the top down.

They are relatively cheap (particularly on current rates) and seem to fit really well. They seem to be well made if a little cheap looking. By this I mean the overly shiny surface and the old English vinyl look. Certainly not embarrassing to be seen with but not up to the standard of my samsonite dlx3 set.
They came well packed and in there own little storage bags, which you can't complain about.ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage
I'll post some pics now to show how they fill the space and let you know how I get on with them as I go.

They're great - we've got the E85 version and used them for the Skye run, made packing the boot so easy :)

One thing the pics don't show, and I neglected to mention was they are higher at one end than the other to take advantage of the shape of the roof cover. Thanks to Ronk for pointing me in the right direction and sending me some pics prior to purchase.

Way too expensive for me. I went down to my local luggage store, and tried out about 10 different pieces. Came up with 3 pcs from Swiss army that work just as well as Roadster bags, but cost less than half.

€148 doesn't seem bad for 3 cases to me. Oh well perhaps I'm not au fait with luggage prices. Thank your lucky stars they weren't Tumi if you think these are expensive.

These look really good, might buy a set myself. Can you take a picture of them and get the whole bag out of the boot if you wouldn't mind?

The bit where it is bigger at one end and the difference between the two if you can get that in :)

Okey dokey. As I said can't do for a few days but will when I can. Suffice to say it fills the space fairly well.
