Spanner in the works...

Post by xpar1 » Tue Sep 02, 2014 5:22 pm

Don't flame me for this  , but I've just got a quote on the new TT that's out soon.

New TT 2.0T FSI Sport £29,860
Dealer offer - £1,215
= £28,645
Deposit: £3000
Term: 48mths
Mileage: 8k pa
Repayments: £365.44
GFV: £14,012.50

Now I know it's a HT, but it has put the brakes on the Z4 order for the time being!!! :dizzy:

Thanks for posting this. It confirms our decision was correct to chose the Zed.

Going to see it in the flesh before placing any order for either car.

From my other post:

2.0 M Sport sDrive20i 2.0 Petrol Auto 2dr Roadster
Solid Alpine White
Comfort Package - Wind deflector/Interior & exterior mirrors folding, auto dimming/Storage Compartment Package/Park Distance Control front & rear/Cruise control with brake function/Extended lighting
£29,039

So virtually the same price. The TT I like the twin pipes, flash dash and the looks from certain angles more...Z4 everything :D

I think the shape is boring and just like the MK 2, and I won't hear anyone say otherwise, but the interior looks good and the new MMI instrument panel is very innovative

Audi have ruined the front end of the TT for me although the original was the best looking even if it was so so to drive.

Tim you're right the front grill is too angular and those sunken lights look dreadful

It's missing a real engine. I'm guessing they will put the RS3 engine in it at some point.

I think the sat nav looks quite low resolution in the video. Suppose they had to sacrifice something to get it all in the dash.

Always said if you matched Audi interior with BMW dynamics and external visual appeal you would have a car that would sell itself.....

Dont get me wrong Z4 is a great car and the interior looks good but the TT interior walks all over it

The new TT instrument panel looks great but for me I would rather have the sat nav in the middle of the dash. The TT and zed prices might be the same but when it's sunny there's nothing like having the roof down, you get twice the car with the zed, great looking coupe and a roadster 8).

Had a good look online today at the 'standard' spec of the TT quoted above, taking all into account with my choice of options the Z4 has a lot more kit for the same sort of money £29,039 To add the same level of kit on the TT would be another £2k or more.

Also the PCP price of the TT of £365 after £3k down is around the same as the Z4 with one month payment upfront! So it looks like we have a winner :D
