I bought these for my zed when I first bought the car because I didn't like the rings being a different colour to the lights but I've been in two minds about them ever since. In normal day light you can barely see one of the rings on each side, at night they show up fine but as soon as you put the lights on you don't really see them anyway.
What do you all think? Pic below shows the normal h8 bulb on the drivers side and the led on the right. Not a great pic though, sorry!

I have the same issue on my one series. Think you need the expensive bulbs for them to look their best.

I like the passenger side better in that picture. Looks cleaner. Bit as Steve says, you may want to investigate the bulbs. Osram IIRC.

i prefer the passenger side too in the picture but in the flesh the outer ring doesn't show up at all during the day. I'll check out some better bulbs before i give up on the idea then, cheers

I fitted led.
Took about two minutes for me to change my mind to remove and put back in place the original Osrams.
Leds are very directional and of one freq. whereas the halogens have a wider freq. and will always transmit light better.
Shame they weren't neon rings, proven technology.
