She's a beaut mate
The silver mirrors look great against the red and tie in nicely with the wheels, and the black interior is soooooo much better than the red you were going to get!

Angie4m wrote:You say it's hesitant, I assume you've been sat with in traffic with the car in neutral and the park brake on? If so it's the hill assist your feeling. It holds the car for a few seconds only thing is you want to move right then. It can't differentiate between a hill and not a hill so everytime you release the parking brake the hill start assist kicks in.

You'll get used to it and adapt it for that. Maybe letting off a second or so early to move off right when you want.

As for the gears, as you've said you'll get used to it, however the power is there if you need it, the car kicks down really well changes to suit. If you do find you want that extra power with a bit more bite and want to be assured of it then stick it in sports and you'll have a blast. I find the kick down very quick and a not really hesitant like others I've driven
nope thats when i have my foot on the brake. i never use the park brake unless im parked up. the kick down is good and sports mode doesnt make a massive difference when i turn it on. in the 20i it used to make acceleration snappier and more responsive

ive noticed that the roof bangs down too when its closing. might get that looked into later as its not a major thing

cheers lux..... i dont like the silver mirrors and grill so looking to change those soon. the black is ok but makes the interior look a bit bland but i can live with it :)

I love the black interior, the red is too orange, the walnut too light, cream gets dirty, and the black and orange just looks awful (IMO) had a loaner in Valencia this week and whilst I like the orange paint the interior was horrible. Give me boring black all the time! :D

Oh, and if you don't want em I'll swap you my mirrors for yours!?

Mines does that. Maybe it's a just a 'special' feature of the 35is :P however as I've never tested or driven any other E89 I couldn't say if it's normal or not. When I put the roof up I do tend to put my hands up to make it a softer almost no noise closure.
