Where does the 3.0l fit in?

So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.

Out of interest, is the M badge standard on the M Sport models? My M Sport Z4 is a 63 plate 'facelifted' model, took delivery 7 months ago and doesn't have them. I'd noticed that M Sport models across the range e.g. 4 Series do have them.
Cheers!

It is standard but has only been so in the past 5/6 months on the Z4. They look like oversized tie pins to me or for those who want to remove them you could possibly make them into cuff linksDarkSide24 wrote:Out of interest, is the M badge standard on the M Sport models? Good choice - like the colour combo as well.
I have 4600 miles on my 28i now and it's still as sweet as a nut. The more miles you put on it, the freer it rev's and the better mpg you get. It still puts a grin on my face.
Doesn't stop me looking at Autotrader for a 35is though!!

I've just seen a display in Durham today and couldn't agree more. A defianate afterthought on the wrong size!toonmal wrote:Loving the colours, my interior is walnut...stunning in my opinion. Must agree with Titantim, the 'M' badge does look a bit like a 'stick on' afterthought
If was on my car it would be coming off.
The zed they had displayed was a 18i

Re: The 3.5i is dead, long live the 2.8i!
The M badges appeared I think from April build, have one on the 1er along with the ///M logos on the brake calipers, alloys, gear knob, steering wheel, boot lid and my fave an M135i hologram on the black panel display that lights up when you fire her up, just so I don't forget I'm driving a non M car
The M badge looks ridiculous on the Z4 as it sits with the chrome indicators and SDrive model script so looks far too cluttered. I guess the way to go is to remove the indicators
Tim.

InvisibleName,
Hi, just came across this thread whilst I was thinking about changing spec on my ordered 28i (auto).
Do you have opotional adaptive suspension? Everyone seems to have different opinion on this option.....

If I went for another E89 with runflats I think adaptive would be the first option I would tick. Obviously different but love it on my M135i as it makes the car much comfortable and pleasurable to drive when you want it to be. It would interesting to know on the E89 if adaptive would be worth it if the car is fitted with non runflats as it's the runflats that spoiled the E89 for me.RX-78 wrote:InvisibleName,

^^ This. I've now driven a 20i (non-msport) without & 35iS with adaptive suspension. The 35iS was noticeably more comfortable despite having 18" rather that 17" wheels. The 35iS also felt more secure than the 20i

Thanks guys I think I'll add adaptive suspension bit I thought it was odd not a single AUC cars have the option. A couple of AUC sales man suggested it won't make any difference (they would, but a new car salesman told me the exact opposite!) but I'd trust people on here more

Could possibly be that the dealership has not listed the full spec of the car. Checking the build sheet online would confirm which options were added. I know when I've been looking at a run about touring I've found it lists far more than the AUC site says.RX-78 wrote:Thanks guys I think I'll add adaptive suspension bit I thought it was odd not a single AUC cars have the option. This is an option I didn't have on my last 35i and am looking forward to having on the new baby in a few weeks.
