You are right Ronk, I agree with you....
..... "Always go for the best you can afford"; but I think that is about as far as I can go. I have gone with the media pack which at £2k before discount took up all the spare cash.

Not convinced by the heated steering wheel (although I used to say that about the heated seats), it is only £155 so I might just splash the cash :)

Well sniffer, from what I can see I do have the best hifi, it is their DAB professional. I have looked and all I can add is the two loudspeaker systems.
The Advanced which according to the dealer is a couple of extra tweeters and a box under the seat or the professional which is the same except that they are Harman ones. Cannot justify £575 or £870 for just that!

I am still torn on the exterior colour :x Not sure about black or deep sea green and now I see Kermit's red I'm thinking that way - HELP!!!

Heated steering wheel is fantastic in the winter - you will regret not speccing it for £150 ish.

I never had it on any car before, and would never have picked it as it sounds a load of old rubbish.

But now I have tried it - LOVE IT!

All cars get heated seats as an option (or even standard now) - how many get a heated steering wheel? Exactly.

+1 on the heated steering wheel, such a luxury during colder days. . .

Hi, it is the loudspeaker systems which repeat the sound into the cabin and therefore change the sound.

It depends what you want and if hi fi in a car is something which you will get enjoyment from.

if you are going to do it, go for the best option, you will get something back for it come resale IMO.

Some would argue that hi fi is not important at all in a cabrio in any case, in which case, don't spec any of the loudspeaker upgrades.

I fairness with my current Z I cannot hear a thing when the top is down, which is most times (hot or cold days).
Would I hear better if I had better speakers? Probably yes; but I really think I am overspending :P

So, that's it
Decision made and I ain't changing my mind - I think :o

Decided to go with the big spec, nav, media pack 19" all as previously mentioned above
Cannot justify spending any more although I did add the heated steering wheel.
£14k discount off the car!!

You have 30 minutes to change my mind then I am off to sign on the dotted line :driving:

Great spec choices - though I'd have gone with Valencia Orange :P

I think the upgraded stereo is worth it in the e89 (or the e86 coupe) because of the hard top... But in the e85 I'm not sure it's worth it because with the rag top it's still very noisy with the roof up. Roof down, who cares - the engine & exhaust are all that matter :driving:

Decided not to pick up until Sept 1 as am going on a long break and will be away most July and August

So all signed up now and to my amazement I just about got £15k off!
That is a snip for a car like that.

September can't come quick enough
Thanks everyone for your input - It really is a great spec for me :D

I don't find my E89 particularly quiet with the roof up. It is less noisy than my E85 as you said, but it's not a good environment to savour good music reproduction.
You don't stop playing when you get old - You get old when you stop playing!
So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.
