Nav system.
Hi everyone I'm totally new here, just bought my Z4 two days ago now absolutely love it 30i white with black leather interior. Anyhow the nav system is there anyway to search for an address using a post code really baffeled me Today trying to use it?

Re: Nav system.
That's how I usually use it. There's an option to enter the postcode in the address field.

Re: Nav system.
I think that if you just enter postcode into the city field it still works (if I remember correctly)
Why is it that people who can't take advice always insist on giving it?

Re: Nav system.
You guys make it sound simple
Postcode entry doesn't work on mine (2010 idrive).
It looks like it should be simple & just type it in, but you try & get it to work. Load of rubbish.
I've resorted to just entering the address with city / street etc rather than using the postcodes.
Apparently there is some trick where you can set the postcode using the POI functions, but that's about a hundred clicks too many when I'm in a rush to get going.

Re: Nav system.
I'll check mine out when I go out later to see how I do it. Can't remember right now!
One thing I could never figure out was planning route with specific points along the way. The manual is a nightmare on this. Supposed to be possible.

Re: Nav system.
If I recall correctly, the first field is City/Postcode so you could either enter:
"G1 1AA" or "GLASGOW" into that field.
Hope that helps.

Re: Nav system.
Postcodes on an E85 or E86 are only by using an after market disc.
Was the E89 enabled by a software update? Might be worth getting your dealer to update the car. If you've the connected iDrive you can upload from google maps via the app, right?
