That's The Holder In The Glove Box For?

Hello,
Born out of curiosity does anybody know what the holder in the glove box is designed to hold?

The recess is slightly too big to hold a Maglite Solitaire in place.

It's for a little flashlight that can be obtained from BMW and it's not the one that plugs in.
