Is it possible to retro fit the chrome effect trim onto my currently all black steering wheel? I've got the thumb controls for radio and stuff so I guess the trim would only cover the outer parts. Where would I get it from if it exists

Yes. You're looking for a normal z4 multifunction steering wheel. It'll have silver trim and the holes for the buttons you require.
 
Do I need to change the full steering wheel? I only want the silver trim part. Yikes!
 
Nope, just the trim. The trim is VERY expensive though, over £140 I believe. I'd personally be on the hunt for any old wheel with this trim, then change it over.

Why would you want to do this though? The //M trim is black and looks great IMO.
 
Sat in a friends car which is standard model (mines an m sport) and I preferred the silve wheel look but not at £140 (probably)
