Pleased with the results from SEDOX in Sunderland :)
Power and torque is there a lot longer in the range.
371.5HP which is nearly 380PS

The ESS tune is a download. I've always found it better to start with a download and then some fine tuning to the exact engine staying within all the safe parameters.
0-60 will not improve until I change the dif and tyres as the 35is can't successfully put the power down successfully. I have tried the launch control a few times on difference surfaces and found you can pull away quicker without it.
Above 40mph the difference is unbelievable.
It's not something you install yourself.

Interesting my engine, turbo and ECU are exactly the same as the 1M so why did BMW call it is.
Once I upgrade the front brakes I think I'll add an M badge :poke:

And the shocks and suspension and springs and the M setup of it all and the tyres and the electric steering and general chassis design.. The 335iS is the same kit but alas miles away from a true M also.

There's only one way to a have an M like experience...

Buy an M :)

I was joking of course, I prefer it to be a wolf in sheeps clothing rather than broadcast something it isn't and every Chav wants to race it.

Love it. Got to be ripe for peeing off a few 991,s on the slip road.

Just let the chavs go.

I've been tempted to get this done to mine for years, but with the luck I've had, I just know the moment I did it, the DCT or a Piston would give out... with BMW looking over my shoulder going 'ehem, if you think you're going to claim for that...'. So I've stuck with the stock 306 for now.

I had an offer from BHP UK to take mine to 350 for, oddly enough, £350.

He said I could have more but 350 would be a nice safe figure... I still think about it..

AND, they have a laptop stand! :poke:

It was £450. You can tell the difference a lot at higher speeds but at low down speeds it makes it worse. You have to be more gentle to keep all the dreaded orange lights from flashing and grip the wheel a lot tighter. I'm going to Bird later in the month to have the Quaife fitted and changing the tyres so that should sort that out.

I'd be happy to keep the stock power but very interested in the quaife so I look forward to your report on that..

would really like to do the diff and tyres myself. Look forward to how you get on.

Not so sure about the re-map because I can't even get decent fuel here.

97 is the max in Northern Ireland and there are very few outlets near me that sell it.

I have to agree the new 35is is no M, but its a really nice drive. The big, simple problem is those tires. There hard and very loud on certain road surfaces. Real shame as interesting that BMW didn't put run-flats on the new M135i, as that has had some great reviews in the press.

I have to say adding more power to a standard car is good, but you really need to address the chassis as the 35is struggles to handle the standard power. However the chassis can be easily resolved with better springs, anti-roll bars, better tires and a proper LSD. Would be interesting to see a review of a 35is with good tires and a proper (LSD) Diff.

Very interesting project Quadracer! Keep in mind that limited slip differentials sometimes whine and/or grind a bit during use. Not sure how the Quaife compares in that regard though. The M diff sometimes grinds a bit during parking speeds. Also keep in mind that the addition of a LSD will probably induce some understeer during corner entry if you're tracking the car.

What tyres are you thinking about?
