Could have been me but I think it's about 30min too late. Mine is VO & I was driving top-down, waved at a dark blue E89 top up .jmb wrote:Got a wave from a zed heading the opposite way to me today, but I wasn't awake enough to wave back- A10 just south of Stretham around 6:45

Good luck spotting my Z4 on the A10 south of Cambridge, very unusual for me to be driving in that area.

Given that front bumper I'd assume he's in the US so probably less chance of being spotted or spotting another one.......well at least by a member on here.DinosaurEyes wrote:I think this is cheating, but I don't care. window tint maximum in my state is 35%. this tint is lighter at 45%. when/if it starts to peel, i'll replace it with 35%.

Just out of curiosity, before they fit any film to the check the tint level already on the Windows as standard? Only reason I ask is the tint on the Windows although not black is 30% so adding a 45% film actually brings it higher than the state allows.robertd33 wrote:correct, i am in the US, and Z4's are not common here at all.pvr wrote:And with windows that tinted, it would not survive that long on the road either without being pulledAngie4m wrote:

do you mean put tint on top of tint?Angie4m wrote:Just out of curiosity, before they fit any film to the check the tint level already on the Windows as standard? no installer would do that; remove old tint, put on new.

No, there is a tint within the glass itself that cannot be removed. It's in most if not all glass in modern cars to cut down on UV rays.robertd33 wrote:do you mean put tint on top of tint?Angie4m wrote:Just out of curiosity, before they fit any film to the check the tint level already on the Windows as standard? ah... the tint IN the glass has almost no darkening & wouldn't be considered as part of it.Angie4m wrote:No, there is a tint within the glass itself that cannot be removed.
