Stripes Or No Stripes

I'm in the final stages of a full respray, changing to Alpine white, and I've been considering adding stripes.

Quite fancy Martini stripes down the centre of the bonnet & boot, but just can't make my mind up whether it's wise or not.

Just wondering what folks thoughts are on Z4 stripes...

Some cars suit stripes. The Z4 certainly isn't one of them.

If you wear a shirt unbuttoned to the navel, sport gold medallions, mirror sunglasses and big sideburns, the stripes will probably look cool. But be prepared for a call from the 1970's asking for them back.

To be fair, I think of all the pics posted above, the last one of the E89 with the stripes (and sponsor logos) does actually look good, but that's probably because it's more of a promotional vehicle.
