Boot/Trunk lid removal...

Post by Beedub » Fri Aug 18, 2017 9:43 pm

Something has broken or come loose inside my boot lid and everytime i open it i can hear whatever it is... rattling inside the chassis of the lid, my OCD has peaked and i need to sort it.....

I've tried to remove the inner trim panels to get at the offending item with no luck.... So I've decided to just remove the sucker and get to it properly.

to do so i need to realise the wiring harness that runs to the Right hand corner, if anyone has done this job before any tips and hints would be great , seems very simple tbh, but not sure how to release said harness, I'm hoping theirs a simple connector to unclip and off we go....

Boot/Trunk lid removal...

Easy job having swapped my boot for one without a spoiler.

think I fed some string through the boot whilst off the car to make pulling the loom through easier. Wasn't a hard job though.

yes it looks really easy as it basically just a metal carcass, hence why i decided to remove and i remember you doing this swap, the string idea is Great!! I'm not sure why i didn't think of it!! lol Thanks for the input.

While its off, I'm going to renew the light fitting and badges.
