Making the 2.0 louder - exhaust modification?
Hi guys, one thing I'm certainly missing having the four pot is any exhaust note at all. Without changing the exhaust system is it possible to make it louder?
I'm thinking centre silencer delete or even a back box mod of some kind.
Has anyone done this to their '2.0'?
Matt

Haha it's a valve that you have cut into system
You can open or close it from inside car
If Google it I'm.sure it'll come up buddy

I modded a 2.0l back box and made it a quad for a member years ago. It sounded very good. I would go for it.

Would love this but I'm thinking a quad conversion to the four pot is a bit OTTMachine monkey wrote: ↑Wed Jul 12, 2017 7:45 am I modded a 2.0l back box and made it a quad for a member years ago. It sounded very good. I would go for it.
Do you have a picture of the end product?
I'm going to get DLV (if it's the same bloke I'm thinking of) to convert my single to double tip so could maybe sort this at the same time.

DLV gets the thumbs up from me, talked about it with him during the mega roof motor day in Cambridgeshire and he said his backbox mod works on the 2.0.
Also maybe worth talking to Jingle as met him on the same day, he had quad exhaust and it sounded very nice indeed.
