You use this instead of the one you would need to buy from BMW. The advantage of this one is it is cheaper and you do not need to the existing loom in the car.

Is that the plug off the Ecu?

If so I think it's the wrong one. Need to be the connector in the box in front of the main Ecu housing.

If you could confirm though.

Cheers

Yes that one was from the ecu.
Thought that was what your post said.

There is sort of a fuse box in front of the ecu box, is this it?
Which plug?

Cheers.

One on the left small square hole. One on the right flatter wider pin hole.

According to BMW retrofit instructions

N52 or N46 (after 10/04) one on the right
M54 (after 01/06) one on the left
This is the exact problem I had when retrofitting heated seats; I had bought a pre-facelift heated seat switch assembly which didn't match my (post facelift) M pins.

Looks like I can get both pins, so everything is ordered and should have all by the end of the week.

I have a Gineapig lined out so hopefully in production next week.

Think I have this sorted now. Found a link on realoem that confirmed my suspicion.

Little update. Tried to fit loom to a car today. One issue with a pair of contacts for the LCM. They are different to the normal ones.

Luckily I think I have identified them and so no have some on order. I have committed a fair cost to this project now guys so this is going to happen. If the parts arrive this week I will test the pins on my car. If all OK then I will start asking for payment and start shipping them out.
