Custom Cruise Control Loom
I have done a fair bit of wiring on BMWs and Minis, getting the right terminals can be a bit of a game and I have found the best, (but slowest) way is to buy them one at a time from BMW until the right part number is discovered. It is also often easier to buy them pre terminated on the wire and then solder sleeving the wire as good quality crimp tools are very expensive.
Are you using genuine BMW terminals and thinwall cable?

I've just got a used cruise stalk from this guy on eBay (hope link works. If not it's just classiccarspares2015)
http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/classiccarspares2015?rt=nc
I'm not sure if he has any more but it's mint condition and very reasonably priced.

Yep, I'm still in. Just need to get the stalk and a bit of a guide.

BMW terminals are made by TE. Buying direct from BMW is s lot more expensive so only buying the ones I can't get elsewhere from them. I don't want Ines with tails as they are all black and will only cause issues to people fitting them. Colour coded cable is a must.Magicarcher wrote: ↑Mon Jul 17, 2017 12:27 pm I have done a fair bit of wiring on BMWs and Minis, getting the right terminals can be a bit of a game and I have found the best, (but slowest) way is to buy them one at a time from BMW until the right part number is discovered. Admittedly with a lot of other gear but that's a bargain.

I wonder if Sopers would entertain a group buy? May be worth a try to get a few more quid off?

So does this take away the need to splice into the LCM car loom? Plug and play? I would just need to get the Z4 stalk?
Will add to the list once I fully understand it
